Wyrd WM1033: Viktoria, Bounty Hunter (Alternative Version) [Feeling Blue] [1 of 7]
Viktoria had been depressed since being shot by the Seeker. She trained with swords as far back as she could remember, and her mastery of them was a matter of pride for her. There was a great deal of skill required to use swords as well as she did, and she was still defeated by someone without any real training. Her left arm was permanently damaged from the wound, so much so she was no longer able to properly wield a sword with it.
She had become very depressed at the thought of having to find some mundane job just to get enough money to pay for food and shelter. Although it made her very sad, she knew of a weapon that she could still use in her left hand...
This is my entry for round one of "Iron Painter 5" (theme: "I Guess That's Why They Call it the Blues").
I purchased this miniature from Nathan himself at GenCon 40, and I have been hoping to get a reason to paint it since. When the theme came-up, I thought that the back-story for this miniature would be perfect. Given the back-story (Viktoria - Bounty Hunter (Alternative Version)), it seems to me that "Alternative Viktoria" was (emotionally) blue. Just to take no chances, I painted her overcoat blue :) .
The miniature was fighting me a bit. I'm trying to use thinner layers, but am not quite getting the hang of it yet.
This miniature is based on a 30mm Wyrd sewer base insert (WMBA5005).
Entered into Connecticon 2008's miniature painting contest. Won 3rd place in the "Best Single" category.
